Prior to contact, Tl'azt'enne relied on the land to maintain our health and to heal our bodies. Today, we use both modern medicine and traditional medicines. We use modern facilities such as hospitals and health clinics and use the expertise of both general practitioners and specialists when need be. However, we also have our own way of healing our bodies and minds that have been passed down from our ancestors to the present. The use of plants to make our traditional medicine to heal our body, mind and spirit plays an important role in our overall healthcare. We would like to share some of these practices with you.

You can click on our Traditional Medicine button or our Contemporary Health Care button, as these buttons will lead you to our two different ways of Health Care in our community.
